Even though the Datsun/Nissan Z-cars aren't ultra-valuable collectors' pieces (yet!), that doesn't mean they aren't still a ton of fun. With great handling and a balanced chassis, this 1982 Datsun 280ZX 2 2 provides a low-cost way into a pretty capable sports car that can still put a big grin on the driver's face. Thanks to the bright silver color, which we believe is its original paint, it still looks sleek and contemporary and not nearly as dated as some of the other cars built in the early '80s. Typical of Japanese manufacturers of the period, build quality is quite good with sharp gaps and pieces that fit properly, and the paint job is holding up rather well, suggesting great care since it was new. Without stripes or add-ons like a rear wing, the car retains the clean look of the original Z-car, which itself was often compared to the E-Type Jaguar; heady company indeed. The bumpers are well-integrated into the overall design and black body side moldings add some contrast as well as being practical. The black anodized trim and rubber pieces strongly suggest a car that has always been well-maintained and kept out of the elements, and even the taillights are still bright and clear. The gray cloth interior shows a few hints of 1980s sensibility, but the bucket seats remain supremely comfortable for long hauls and supportive for aggressive maneuvers. No rips or tears in the seating surfaces are another sign of careful ownership and the original carpets remain in good shape thanks to the protection of matching embroidered floor mats. Just about everything was standard on the 280ZX, including A/C, power windows, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo that was still pretty cutting-edge in 1982. The 2.8 liter inline-six provides silky smooth torque and a rorty sound that is definitely reminiscent of great sports cars from Europe. Thanks to fuel injection, it starts easily and pulls smoothly without getting fussy, and despite the complex-looking engine bay, these cars are rather easy to work on and parts are still plentiful. There are no obvious modifications and it drives like a stocker, so someone has definitely taken care of it along the way and the clean look speaks highly of the dedicated maintenance it has enjoyed. A 3-speed automatic transmission makes it easy for anyone to drive and doesn't dilute the experience one bit, as the suspension still grabs in corners and has a playful, tossable nature that only rear-wheel-drive sports c. The engine and 5 speed manual transmission came out of a wrecked low-mileage 1982 280zx. The engine bolts right up but some minor modifications needed to be made to accommodate the T5 transmission. This car was a labor of love, continuously being improved and worked on by the owner until he finally bit the bullet and did the turbo engine swap Tachometer

1972 240z good daily driver, not a show car. Numbers matching engine runs good, brakes work great, shifts nice also. 4 speed.. I've had the car 3 or so years and have put 10k mile on it, my father owned it prior to me for about 8 yrs or so . Interior is nice driver condition, dash has a glue on cap that looks good. The floor is covered with dynomat to help with road noise. The paint is very old , and at one time 30 or so yrs ago it was repainted and had 1 fender replaced and drivers quater panel. When they painted the car they masked it off and didn't remove any trim, so all the trim and moldings have a tape line. Please inspect the pictures. Every panel has a ding or dent or a paint blemish or shows age. This is just a good looking ,good driving car that deserves a proper restoration. He alight covers are tinted , one has a hole in it but i have a new set of clear ones that go with it. No a/c car, 4 yrs ago a new heater core installed. But it needs a new valve to get heat to come out of the vents. In texas i prefer no heat . Radio doest work, it's an aftermarket bluetooth. I will check the fuse this week sometime. I have all the emblems for the car that aren't pictured. Rear hatch has a spoiler that is too heavy for the trunk strut to hold it up. It will need dual ones installed. All they keys and locks work , all gauges work good. I was told the hatch seal is common for smelling that and exhaust. Yes it does need that seal. I've driven it 200 miles in 1 day on several trips here and there , the only thing that has been replaced is the fuel pump and 1 condenser last year and plugs cap and wires. Ask questions, almost no rust, has 2 bubbles on the pass rocker and 1 on the fender , they may just be paint problems, the rear under the bumper has body filler , pictured is a crack in it , it may just be thick paint , but there is a stiffener riveted the bottom of that panel. Floors are extra nice, just dirty. I may be missing some details, so ask questions. Cash or cashiers check only, personal check may take longer to clear. Does not leave until my bank clears the funds ! ! ! . Reserve is much less than its worth . I have 15 cars and i have tooooo many to enjoy and take care of. Air Conditioning✔ Bluetooth

due to their scarcity and inherent lightness, they are the most sought after z cars and are worth the most when restored. This car was in the process of being disassembled for an engine swap and a cage but plans have changed. There is major rust in the floorpans and rocker arms but only surface rust everywhere else

England doesn't have a lock on neat, affordable 2-seat sports cars, and it's probably safe to think of this 1967 Datsun 1600 roadster as a Japanese MGB, although the Datsun got to the market first. The bodywork underneath that nicely polished red paint is in very good condition, and like many 2-seaters, this one has probably lived its entire life more as a toy than daily transportation. The look is familiar, perhaps because various styling elements have been borrowed from some of the great cars of history and they all work rather well here AM/FM
